Considerations for the selection of rubber cable metal jacket equipment

2021-04-07

Considerations for the selection of rubber cable metal jacket equipment. 1. The choice of metal sleeve equipment. What kind of metal sleeve equipment to choose should be considered from the performance and economy of the metal sleeve to be manufactured, mainly in the following six aspects:

(1) Moisture resistance: The metal sleeve must be free of defects such as holes, sand holes, inclusions and cracks to ensure good waterproof, moisture-proof and sealing performance.

(2) Shielding performance: The metal sleeve must be able to meet the electrical performance requirements of the system, have structural electrical continuity, and ensure that it can conduct the rated short-circuit current.

(3) Mechanical protection: The metal sleeve must be strong, anti-vibration, and able to resist internal thermal expansion and external mechanical stress.

(4) Long-term stability: The metal sleeve must have long-term operational stability to ensure the normal service life of the cable.

(5) Economy: In addition to the above electrical-mechanical performance, the economy of the equipment should also be considered, and a reasonable price-performance ratio should be selected.

How to keep the rubber cable:

One: The cables should be laid in separate trenches and layered. The cable trench should be equipped with a fire wall and marked according to the standard. The outer layer of the cable should be equipped with fire-proof materials. It is strictly forbidden to mix power cables and security communication cables.

Two: All cable holes that pass through the wall floor and cable channel to enter the control room cable mezzanine control cabinet and dashboard; the end of the cable gallery; the bottom entrance of the cable shaft and the upper end of the cable shaft through the floor; all should be closed .

Three: The open cable trench should be covered with a complete and firm cover. The cable layer trench should be kept clean, no debris and garbage are allowed to be piled up, and measures should be taken to prevent fire from entering the cable layer trench when there is an open fire nearby.

The rubber cable is a high-tech new type of cable manufactured with advanced technology such as special pressing technology and annealing treatment. In terms of electrical performance, safety performance and practical application cost performance, rubber cables have obvious advantages in replacing copper core cables. Rubber cables have obvious advantages in comprehensive electrical performance. Above, such as: service life, electrical conductivity, creep resistance, tensile strength and weight are all better than traditional copper core cables. Under the condition of the same current-carrying capacity, the weight of the rubber cable is only 1/2 of the ordinary copper cable. The price advantage of aluminum alloy materials is also obvious. Under the premise of meeting the same electrical performance, the engineering cost of rubber cables is lower than that of copper core cables.
